The Tollund Man

This is a link to the presentation I put together recently for an interview for the post of Tech Coach at school. I really enjoyed preparing for this interview; I had to make an initial presentation as to what I thought this role would entail and then take part in a coaching simulation. I used Tackk.com to make the presentation as I really like the linear approach and also as this platform allowed for me to visualise and share my ideas and to present images and links in one place. Preparing for this interview put me in the role of what to expect in this post; I had supported EAL students with this topic last term so already had an idea of how it was taught currently. I reflected on what I felt the students had enjoyed and struggled with during the 4 lessons and based upon that made some changes with tech. As learning Histroy skills of evaluating sources was a prime learning outcome, I decided that a good way to get students focused on this would be to create a Zaption as this would allow for students to watch a video at home, answer built in questions and thus come prepared to the lesson with some knowledge of key History skills needed to be a good detective. I really enjoyed the hour long interview - felt more like a deep learning chat - and am now, even more so, looking forward to getting into this role of Tech Coach.
