Using Tech to Personalise Learning

I think teaching requires good scaffolding; before starting a unit of work good questioning to find out what students know already, questions to make them think and to support teachers with finding the baseline for each student so that they can plan engaging learning tasks to move the learning on for each child. It is important to maintain high expectations for each learner but also to be aware of what tools they can use to support, challenge and extend their own learning. I'm co-leading a PLC at school next week and hope to engage teachers in discussion and in practical hands on tech exploration as they design some tech enhanced learning tasks to personalise learning for their students.

Tech for a purpose! For AfL, Flipping, creating & sharing an understanding of the complex & abstract, for recording, feedback, audio, for reflecting; for giving students a choice and the opportunity for anytime anywhere learning.
