I first learned about Reflect Growth via Twitter and decided to register and take a look at how this platform could support my professional development. I have taken part in some discussions with teachers based in Australia and have reflected on my practice. We have recently set up a group for language teachers and I hope this will prove to be a really helpful place where teachers can ask questions, find answers, engage in discussion and thus be more in control of our own learning and professional development. As this is a co-created platform it should offer for really personalised learning.

I have also joined a UK based learning platform for teachers and am really enjoing the sharing and learning that takes place there too. I find this platform to be more like a blog where other teachers can comment on posts and share ideas too. Tech is definitely making it easier and easier for teachers to take full charge of their own learning and sharing.

I agree there are a lot of platforms available now and teachers may feel pulled in all directions, personally I need to have a breadth of choice for my learning and like Twitter for its brevity, immediate answers and global nature, Reflect Growth and Staffrm for its focus and for its ability to allow for deeper engagement. I think this can only go towards supporting me to enhance my practice and hopefully improve student learning.
